While Khmer people are celebrating their victory on Pra Viharn Temple (or shall I say “Modern Trojan Horse with foreign corporations inside not Thai”), I begin to think what’s likely to happen in the future is that the ICJ’s decision will conclude as follow:
“Rather than continue arguing endlessly about which country owns the disputed area, a much better approach would be for both countries to immediately agree that it is something akin to an “international peace park,” with neither side claiming “sovereignty”.
Meanwhile in the Cambodia’s heartland, more than 70% of useful land were 99 years “land leased” by foreign corporations approved by The Great King Hun Sen. This is a new method of “Modern Colonization”. Kingdom of Cambodia will be renamed as The New Kingdom of HUNSENIA.
I am sorry to say that but this is happening now. Can’t you see that Childish Thai and Khmer were played like Toys.
Let’s go to ICJ. I think this time Thailand will will be likely to appeal/propose for using the site as an “international peace park”. No smoking, only non petroleum transportation in the peace park (pollution free), electricity produced by wind and solar means, no pubs or bars, and site’s incomes used only for education funds on both countries. I think this idea will be happily supported by many countries.
Then focus each other attention on the doomed internal affairs. Do it before the relocation of poor Khmer who were forced out of their houses to Pra Viharn’s vicinity which will be renamed the kingdom of Cambodia, a little brother country of HUSENIA’S KINGDOM.
Many comments about the superiority of extinct ancient kingdom amused me so much. It seems to me that they are suffering a symptom of the Delusions of Grandeur. It is shameful claiming to be descendent of an extinct ancient Khom race just to live in that area. What would you think if the Italian claim to be Roman’s descendent, Muslim Egyptian to be the ancient Egyptian’s or German as Arian race? The human races are all mixed up now. Descendent of old royal families were usually the society’s decayed. No such pure race survived anymore. Animals like horses or dogs in the show have pure breed or pure blood. The Fools are always insulting other race where the wises are helping and encouraging.
This sacred Hindu Temple should be shared in admiration of its artistic beauty by all people. In the near future, the Temple will be declared as International Peace Park. Stop all the never ending selfish arguments of sovereignty. Give the Temple to the people of the world.
Pra Wiharn International Peace Park will be a showcase which has four dog cages on four corners. These dogs are from the same litter (Southeast Asia) owned by the multinational corporations whose philosophy is “divide and conquer”. They will let these dogs (named as Vietnam, Lao, Khmer, and Thai) barking at each other and occasionally the dogs will be released for sovereignty dog fight as good exercise.
PAD are fighting with the shameless, unethical and severely corrupted politicians for better Thailand. UNESCO is influenced by multinational corporations that want to exploit this SEA region.
Southeast Asia will be the world’s greatest food supplier. Vietnam, Lao, Khmer, and Thai farmers can cooperate and exchange knowledge for improving the livings and gaining their bargaining power with the produced middleman. They should do it very soon before the fertile land being gobbled up by multinational corporations.
It is true Thai borrowed Khmer, Lao, Chinese, Malay, Indian arts, customs and ceremonial ritual. Thailand is a land of mixed people mostly consisted of Mon, Khmer, Lao, Chinese, Malay and Tai. They are trying to live together harmoniously. Bad governments can destroy the peace and harmony.
I do not care whether Khmer have pity on the political crisis between the king and Thaksin but I pity on Khmer in the city who are forced to leave their houses/land without fair compensation for foreign corporations’ buildings. What I really like to see is Thugsin going jail and his assets confiscated by Thai constitutional Court. He is a worst kind of capitalist who brought his way to political power and used it to amend the laws to favor his business endeavors which will control Thai economy. The world eventually will be controlled and dictated by international corporations if citizen of each country become indifferent. Like Thailand, Cambodia is being swallowed by these corporations. They can buy Hun Sen who in turn will use their money to gain his total control of Cambodia and common Khmer will only share their discarded bones. I never trust any country’s leaders who are not being checked by others local different groups. Present Thai governments would love to have war now to declare marshal law to suppress the Pad and change Thai constitution.
The PAD used the Viharn Temple issue to charge Thugsin’s puppets in Thai Government with treason to get rid of them. This does not mean that the Pad is really on the old Thai elites’ side. The old Thai elites are only a bit less evil than Thugsin. If the Pad succeed, the Temple conflict will cool down and become a none issue.
As a Buddhist, I would like to see is that the Viharn Temple’s vicinity has no big commercial vices like Casinos or bars that will causes the sprout of drugs, prostitution and Mafias. I regard the mountain range as sacred. I do not really care who own the Temple’s right as long as the site is being taken good care of. Eventually, international antiquity experts will repair and rebuild the Temple’s original beauty like what ’s happening in Greece.
It is OK to hate the Thai as your history taught you but be suspicious of other foreigners as they are not better than Thai. Sometimes hatred make you strong, yet too much will destroy you. I do not suffer from the delusion of grandeur. Ancient kingdoms’ destructions were mostly cause by weakness and vices of the kings who did not take good care of people and lost Heaven’s favors.

A guy said pretty much the same things as what I want to say here ,but I not has enough time for all this. The border conflict is cause by the inside political issue within both country.
