Nice development. We should make more topics about present and future. All this historyrelated stuff in Thai chat gets boring. icon_smile.gif

Just curious, how come i don't see new rail link or more money being spent on the Red shirt region, like issan and lanna when 1/3 of the total population live there.

2 months sog, I passed Bangkok sky train Phyathai station and I saw the construction.
So I guess that construction may be this Airport Rail Link, right?

Thai Lak Thai policies make sense to Lanna and issan because it's spreading wealth all across the country like how many European countries do. The policies are ahead of time. Of course many Bangkokian dont like that idea. All money should be spent in Bangkok only and other regions should get sh!t.

Long live Thai Lak Thai and Thaksin Shinawatra, truely elected Thai minister, not handpick by the Junta like Abasit. beerchug.gif

I don't really. There too many cars in Bangkok that pollute the air. Like 50% of all cars are actually taxis since there is still a lack of good public transport possibilities for people. Bangkok is working on that.

Just curious, how much Abhasit borrowed money from the Japanese Bank to finance the rail link ? Who got the most benefit ? Which tax payers will be paying for it?

Thanks in advance. biggthumpup.gif

LOLzzzz So which part of your infomation said we use the loaned money to build the airport link? I'm not sure if your brain still functioning right?

Again that 23.7 billion loan from Japan is for expanding the subway system. Bside we still have enough " foreign exchange reserves" , due to some law regulation we can't use them on this purpose....

Yes! Yes! repeat it! Then read this:

TOKYO - THAI Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva was preparing to leave Japan on Saturday after securing a loan aimed at helping the kingdom expand Bangkok's subway system.

http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_335386.html

The loan will be used for financing the long-delayed construction of the 66.8km Red Line electric train from Rangsit in Pathum Thani province, passing through Bang Sue and Hua Lamphong, to Mahachai in Samut Sakhon province.

So we all agree that the current government is borrowing money to finance mass transit rail system. Not from its own money like some jek thai around here are trying to tell the world. biggthumpup.gif

Knock!Knock! Hello! We just have proof you're wrong about using them for the airport link.

And the reason they loan us money with low interest rate for expanding subway system , coz we have enough foreign exchange reserves.
