Korean has had cooler/prettier hairstyles than Americans since a long time, could be the whole pretty boy-thing though, but not that much as in Japan.
I canīt think of one american celebrity with a really nice haircute, while on the other hand, most korean celebrities do have one.

Hmm... I love Ryan Sheckler's sk8r hair... well he is not that much of a celeb tho... Hil Duff and Lindsey lohan always have pretty hair... and ohhh... all those harry potter people ...like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and o man Tom Felton is like the hottest boy next to Ryan Sheckler...

yeah Korean has some cool hairstyle
I notice that stars in america started having bangs and layers in their hair late 2004
but korean or asian in general has bangs/layers even before 2004...
