What are your point view and feeling toward other less fortunate asian countries.

help the poorer ones grow? yah right. i dont believe that bull$hit.

its all about self-interest. if those poorer countries can offer something to the richer countries (*ahem cheap labor) in return for help, then sure, why not? besides that, forget it.

what will south korea get from helping the poorer asian countries? so that asia becomes a richer continent? asian pride? fu-k off.

dont be fooled by the unity of western europe. they had to fight numerous wars including 2 world wars to get to the "unity" they have today.

no such thing as asian pride or asian unity.

isnt this true for any country? if its not for future profits, its for better image. there is no altruism in reality.

i agree. im not accusing south korea of anything. every country is like this.

my response was to that Ino guy who said SK should help others in order to make friends. Make friends? for what? There's never friendship between nations. Only transactions. unless south korea has so much wealth that they want to give some of it away just to feel good bout themselves but im sure they have something in mind to spend the extra money on.

It should be the duty of wealthier nations to help the less fortunate.

Korea does help lesser fortunate asian nations with infrastructure projects, aid, education, tech transfers etc. but even as they help there are ulterior motives.

Korea, like any country, has interests and will invest in nations with potential.
The investor earns money as these markets grow, and the recipient gets a growing GDP. As the developing market grows the people gain trust with foreign brands that were established early. Sounds like a win-win situation, but there's always some explotation of the lesser power.

North korea is a poor section, yet they have natural resources that other countries dream of having.

Plus, other countries cant offer alot because as you stated, they are poor but they often make up for with natural resources.
